This year marks the second runningĀ of the 10-kilometer longĀ Randolph Ramble trail race on the Community Forest. The event took place last month, during Halloween weekend. The number of participants was capped at 100, and also included a “Limmer” Division for those who preferredĀ to hike the route. (The name comes from the famed custom-made hiking boot company, based in Intervale, NH.)
The Ramble is entirely non-profit, and this year the organizers raised $1,500. One thousand dollars was donated to the Randolph Mountain Club, over whose trails the Ramble passes. Another $500 was donated to the local Friends of the Presidential Rail Trail.
For more information on the Randolph Ramble, see their web site. An article about the trail race will be forthcoming in the next issue of the Randolph Mountain Club newsletter.
